Jane holds a Masters degree and a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of New Brunswick, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Design from Sheridan College. Her current studio practice combines painting and mixed media techniques and her paintings have been shown in numerous group and solo exhibitions. Her art is represented in corporate and private collections throughout Canada as well as in Holland, and the USA. She has acted as an advisor and juror for many design competitions and has given workshops and lectures on art, design and creativity for Colleges and Universities throughout North America, India, France and Italy. Jane
contributed to the design column for the Telegraph-Journal in St. John and presently works as a freelance artist and designer in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Recently retired as Head of Design Department at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, where she had been a Professor and Coordinator since 1982.
