Rectangular Earrings by Wildabout Wampum

$75.00

These stunning stylized rectangular earrings are hand-crafted by Marcia Poirier of Wildabout Wampum.

Each Wildabout Wampum "objet d'art" is a one-of-a-kind piece, hand-crafted by artisan Marcia Poirier.

Wampum, a Native American term for "money", originally consisted of beads carved from the Quahog shell. These beads were used as currency - a string of beads fetched five British shillings. In the late 1700s, Wampum could still be used to pay tuition at Harvard University.

Today, while it is no longer accepted as currency. Wampum is said to bring the owner good luck in financial matters - making it both beautiful and valuable!

Andrea Miller is a mom, dog lover, and a first time children’s book author. She has been writing rhyming poems since grade school and wrote this silly one in hopes that it will make you smile.

Richard Duijnstee is a professional illustrator who was born with a pencil in his hand and graduated to a fountain pen after art school. His drawings are happy, since he can’t draw ‘mean things’.
