Deborah Wybou graduated with an MBA (2004) from the University of  New Brunswick (Fredericton) and received a Fine Craft: Ceramics Diploma (2016) from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. 

Artist Statement

"I am a person who truly believes in life-long learning. From my earliest memories as a small child, I learned to knit and sew from people around me. Learning and making is part of the fabric of my life.

When I started creating jewellery as a way to de-stress from writing my MBA thesis, I was reunited with my desire to make. Producing jewellery brought together my entrepreneurial spirit and my passion of working with my hands to create beautiful things.

Deciding to pursue a career in the visual arts, and moving away from Jewellery, I studied ceramics at NBCCD and love experimenting with texture and variations of colour in the medium. Ceramics offers me the opportunity to express the artist within me."
